Zoo-phonics 9: The Zoo Billboard Mix-up

Game overview

Unscramble letters to form words in Zoophonia's Zoo Board in a reading app that teaches vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and hand-eye coordination.

Attention all tablet and large screen phone users! Get ready for an exciting game that features a Zoo Billboard with jumbled letters waiting to be unscrambled. Your child's task is to reorganize the words correctly by making use of the blanks provided below each set of letters. With every right answer, Zeke Zebra, the enthusiastic helper in the game, will cheer up your child and encourage them to keep going. To make the game more engaging, the Walkie-Talkie feature is available to summon Zeke Zebra for help in case the child gets stuck in the game. The process of unscrambling the letters is simple. If your child places the letter in the right order, it will turn blue and stay in the box. However, if the letter does not fit, it will not remain in the box. Besides, it is vital to remind your child to create a space between each word and to look for capital letters and punctuation marks because every sentence starts with a capital letter, and there must be a punctuation mark at the end. Zoophonia, an interactive element in the game, will read the sentence aloud after each word is unscrambled. When the whole sentence is successful, Zeke will direct your child to "turn on the light switch," and the billboard light will turn on. Ellie Elephant will shoot water on the billboard to make a new mixed-up sentence appear. Also, Signal and sound features that assist the child to put letters in the correct order are available. The game's objectives are to help your child build and spell words, follow instructions, make decisions, navigate and manipulate interactive elements on a screen, and use eye-hand coordination. Furthermore, your child will learn to use capital letters and understand that there must be a space between words and a punctuation mark at the end of a sentence. The game is based on the Zoo-phonics Multisensory Language Arts Program, a kinesthetic, multi-modal approach that focuses on vocabulary development, articulation, and phonemic awareness. Zoo-phonics is an innovative way to make children strong readers and spellers using hearing, speaking, seeing, moving and touching by providing a whole-brain approach. The game uses animals characterised in the shapes of letters, and each letter has a related body movement, making it easy for the child to remember the sounds and shapes of letters. Zoo-phonics maximizes understanding, memory, and transference of language arts to all areas of the reading, spelling, and writing process. The Zoo-phonics program has been field-tested and found to be effective. It provides a springboard for learning other subjects like math, art, music, cooking/nutrition, social studies, science, grooming, physical education, and sensory/drama. Educational research repeatedly supports the value of phonics in early reading programs, as well as the effectiveness of mnemonics and kinesthetic approaches to learning, unique elements of Zoo-phonics. Currently, Zoo-phonics is in use throughout the US and internationally as a highly effective language arts program. With the Zoo-phonics-based game, your child can learn the alphabet in just two weeks, making the game a great educational tool for children.
