Word Search is a classic word game known the world over.

There is some disagreement about the origin of the Word Search puzzle game. There are some who believe that Pedro Ocón de Oro first created Sopa de Letras, or Soup of Letters sometime in the 1960's. Others believe the first Word Search game was published in the USA by Norman E. Gibat in 1968 in a publication called Selenby Digest.

Regardless of when the word game was created there is no doubt that Word search puzzles have become very popular the world over. Many enjoy the relaxing pace of the game and the fact that you can play a game in a just a few minutes to pass the time.





Word search puzzle games are often used for teaching in a classroom environment. Many teachers will use Word Search games as an instructional aide, especially in language learning. Word search puzzles have also been used to demonstrate the use of searching algorithms.

WORD SEARCH Classic is a very simple word game. One of the most simple word games around.



The goal:

Find hidden words in the randomly created word grid using the word list provided.



To play:

Search the word grid for a word from the list

Touch the first letter in the word

Drag your finger to the final letter of the word

If the word is correct it will be marked with a highlight color

Move to the next word in the word list and repeat until you find all words
