There are three types of troop quality, i.e., Raw, Average, and Veteran, with 17 distinct troop classes, including infantry (e.g., line, militia, marines), light infantry (native American warbands), cavalry, and artillery, adding the fearsome 32pdr cannons and British rocket units. Formation includes five different types, i.e., Line, Column, Open Order, Square, and Unformed. There is also a troop morale mechanic known as "Disruption."
