Create weapons and tools by chopping down trees in the forest, and use them to build camps or start fires for warmth. To avoid starving, kill animals for meat, or scavenge food from the environment. Fortify your position by building small shelters or large fortresses, and use traps and defenses to keep yourself safe. Experience a realistic dynamic day and night cycle with sun and moon phases. The game's world is randomly generated and covers a 1 sq. km chunk of a post-Soviet state filled with military bases, abandoned villages, deep forests, lakes, rivers, and wilderness locations. Gather resources, such as wood, stone, and rusted metal, to create weapons and tools. Repair these tools as they wear out over time and use the new crafting mechanisms to improve them or turn them into something else entirely. The inventory system is intuitive and designed to meet the needs of crafting and character customization. Venture out into the wilderness to hunt animals once you have already plundered abandoned buildings. Use a stealth system to sneak past zombies and animals, which can see, hear, and smell you.
