The game's control, which is held on a vertically-held smartphone, enables players to enjoy exhilarating battles, training, dungeon exploration, and random enchanted item collection, all while still maintaining that deep strategic sense. Set in a world line where even the fictitious concept of souls can be transformed into data, the game's storyline features the sudden appearance of deformities which threaten the life of its creatures. You'll take on the role of the protagonist and use the Soul Driver, a device that converts souls into data, to eliminate these deformities. The system overview includes three slots for saving games, both in-device and manual, and an estimated 14 to 20 hours completion time for a full scenario. For the more adventurous players who seek further challenges post-clearance, the estimated time is around 50 to 100+ hours. In SOULVARS, players can combine soul bits (hand bills), the data of the soul power present in gear (equipment), to create special attacks and combos in a successive manner. You'll be able to characterize each character's actions with dots that move around and draw soul bits from gear and use them as actions during battle. The main weapon, subweapon, armor, and accessory combinations are essential in determining strategy (deck). During the battles, the selection of soul bits increases, depending on the opponent's weaknesses, guarding, evading, buffing, debuffing, and other conditions. The combination of soul bits chosen at the same time activates a skill called Arts. SOULVARS is not your ordinary JRPG deck-building game.
