Play, practice or get perfect hold advice for Fortune X Video Poker games.

Once a game type and pay table are selected, there are three different modes of usage:

In the ADVICE mode, one inputs the five cards constituting a hand of interest and is then told the optimal cards to hold and the bonus multipliers that should be used if available.

In the PRACTICE mode, random hands and current bonus multiplier are displayed and the user selects hold cards and whether to use the multiplier, or not. This hold is then scored (correct hold or not, correct multiplier usage, or not) and a tally accumulated until you reset the tallies to zero.

The GAME mode presents a setting reminiscent of a video poker machine. When you press Deal you are dealt a random hand. Starting with a default multiplier of 1, a bonus multiplier of 2 may be randomly awarded. If used, it resets to 1. Otherwise, it will progress to higher multipliers ending at 12 which is automatically used. After selecting hold cards and deciding on whether to apply the current multiplier, pressing the Draw button results in your hold hand being filled-in with random cards from the remaining deck. The perfect hold hand receives the same draw cards. The amount won by your holds and the perfect play holds are shown and accumulated into win/loss (W/L) totals. The appropriate multiplier is applied to any wins. Any errors in holding or multiplier usage are shown.
