Game overview
PicFix is a two player game, the entire game takes place on one device.
How to Play:
Phase 1 – Hide:
Player one will take the phone and grant access to the device’s camera to activate the AR functionality. Once the interaction HUD is displayed to the user, walk around a closed room (maximum 25m x 25m) and carefully hide your 5 objects around the room. To win Player two must fail at finding all 5 objects within the time limit.
Phase 2 – Seek:
Player two will now take the phone and proceed to search for the items in the room, when an item is close it will be intractable via the HUD, tap the object to add the item to your inventory. Find all 5 objects within the time limit to win.
About the Game:
PicFix is an AR game inspired by everyday life, made for the Global Game Jam 2020. We wanted to showcase some of unity’s AR functionality while also not taking things too seriously. We believe laughter can shape our world and so we present you a narrative where a Parent and child share a day at the Photographer’s studio. Our toddler is not pleased with the current situation and decides to sabotage the shoot, hiding key items required for the best baby photo possible. The Photographer doesn’t have time to wait, the camera is on a timer and our Parent needs to fix this before it’s too late!
