Game overview

Partia 2: The Pretenders War is a SRPG game set in high fantasy, with new gameplay features and improved AI, but lacking in animation.

Partia 2: The Pretenders War is an enthralling SRPG video game that has drawn inspiration from the Fire Emblem and Tear Ring Saga series. Set in a world of high fantasy, this game takes its players on a perilous journey filled with magic, swords, treachery, and love. As a follow-up to the successful Partia: The Broken Lineage, Partia 2 offers 22 challenging stages that will test the strategic abilities of even the most experienced SRPG enthusiasts. This sequel boasts of many new features that will make for a more engaging gameplay experience. One such feature is the option of playing the game with the "Common turn" rule. Unlike the traditional method of taking turns to move all units, this rule allows all factions to make moves alternatively, similar to the gameplay of Chess. The AI has been improved significantly, and mounted units can now move after attacking, provided they still have some move distance available. While the game may not include large animation battles, it more than makes up for it with bigger and more attractive character portraits. However, the game's budget constraints prevented it from producing high-quality animations. Despite the challenges faced during its development, the game developers decided against incorporating IAPs into the game. Their main goal was to create a game that would be remembered for its quality, rather than having the taint of cheap IAPs. This game is best suited for fans of Partia 1 and SRPG games. However, if you're not a fan of Partia 1, you may want to reconsider purchasing this game. Regardless, the developers assure that Partia 2 will offer an improved experience and more challenging gameplay than its predecessor. The developers are proud of what they have accomplished with this game, considering the five-year-long development process, their team of two members, and the struggles they faced. Your feedback on the game is highly appreciated, so please do let them know what you think!
