In 2004, 日本一ソフトウェア (Nippon Ichi Software) announced a character named "アサギ" (Asagi) to be the protagonist of their next title. Asagi was destined to soar as the main character without any problems, but after years of waiting, a game with Asagi as the protagonist has yet to be created - until now.

Fast forward to 2018, Asagi has finally landed her own game with 魔界ウォーズ (Makai Wars)! Combining the worldwide sales of over 3 million units in the ディスガイア (Disgaea) series and the over 6 million downloads of the smartphone game ゆるドラシル (Yuru Dorashiru), 魔界ウォーズ (Makai Wars) is born.

As the story goes, a regular high school girl named 朝霧アサギ (Asagi Asagiri) was enjoying her ordinary daily life until she falls asleep and wakes up in a strange place - the demon world! Suddenly, a mysterious goddess named フレイヤ (Freya) appears and tells Asagi to "fight!" or "you are a god." With little knowledge of her surroundings, Asagi takes on the challenge because why not? This is her story, after all.
