Crosswords are word puzzles in which clues are given in the form of words that are meant to be filled into a grid of squares.
The squares are arranged in a grid, and the clues tell you which letters go in which squares. The goal of a crossword is to fill in the grid so that all of the squares contain letters and all of the clues are correctly answered.
