In HyperRogue, you find yourself in an unusual world that isn't bound by Euclidean geometry. You are a solitary Ranger on a quest for riches. Collect as many treasures as you can, but be wary of the dangerous monsters that come with it. Fend them off and you'll be rewarded with even more riches. If you've collected enough treasure, you can discover the rare magical orbs which unlock unique one-time or time-limited abilities. The world comprises eleven diverse land types, each with different aspects like monsters, treasure, magical orbs, and terrain features. Collecting treasures in lands of the same type attracts more monsters, so try to gather treasure from different lands. Your ultimate goal is to access Hell and search for the elusive Orbs of Yendor. Inspired by the roguelike genre, HyperRogue is an engaging combination of a puzzle game and DROD (Deadly Rooms of Death).
