Game overview
Hide N' Sound Seek is a multiplayer geo-spatial game of hide and go seek using Bose AR hardware.
In Hide N' Sound Seek, players hide from a "seeker" while the seeker uses their Bose AR enabled headset to track down the "runners" using directional sound. As the seeker approaches a runner the music playing from their real world position will become louder and louder making them easier to track down. Once the seeker is close enough to a hider they can tag the runner to take them out of the game. Once all runners are tagged the game is over!
How to play:
To begin a new game first make sure that location services are enabled on your device and open the app.
The app will ask for permission to use location services, tap allow or enable.
On the next screen you will be asked to pair your Bose AR enabled device do this or tap the X to proceed without using Bose AR or connect your device.
The app will now connect to the multiplayer servers. You can create a game by tapping the Create button. The game will now show the radar and show a room code at the top of the screen. Now the other players can tap "Join" on their app and enter with the room code to join the game.
When everyone is ready, have the game creator tap start. The runners will now get a 30 second head start to run and hide. After the 30 seconds is up, the seeker can now listen for music coming from the runner's positions.
As the seeker gets closer to a runner their song will get louder and louder alerting the seeker to their current position. When the seeker is within 4 meters, they can double tap their Bose AR device or their phone's touch screen to tag a runner.
Once all runners are tagged the game is over and everyone can tap "Ready" to play another round.
At anytime during, or after, a game a player may leave the game to return to the connect screen.
