Game overview

"A Scrum Game" is an educational game produced as part of a MSc project, whose goal is to support the learning of some approaches to planning adopted in one agile method: Scrum.

"A Scrum Game" is a single-player game in which the player assumes the role of one developer within a Scrum team working on a fictional project. The player will progress in this game by participating in estimation and planning activities (product backlog grooming, sprint planning), experienced from the point of view of a developer.

"A Scrum Game" is not intended to be played by people unfamiliar with Scrum. In fact, a good knowledge about the Scrum method (ideally acquired by having undertaken a software project management course) is a prerequisite to play this game.

"A Scrum Game" has been developed in attempt to contribute to the research area which explores the potential of using educational games as complementary materials in universities to support the teaching of agile methods.
