You do it by dragging cards from your pile to the board, if you put 2 cards with the same value they will merge and add up into a new number.
The wild card can merge with any number.
Also, if you have a card in your hand that you don't want to play you can discard cards.
Try to build the chain of numbers in descending order starting from the bigger number.
If you have a card that might ruin your setup better discard it straight away.
