The game runs on the most common Hex Color format #RRGGBB, where each 2 hexadecimals represent one of the 3 colors red, green and blue, from the left.
The magnitude (in Hexadecimals) of each color shows the intensity of the particular color among the 3 when they are mixed. Example: Yellow = Red + Green. So, #ACB700 can be a particular (I mean "some random") shade of yellow.
You don't exactly have to know hexadecimals but just know that:
0 < 1 < 2 < 3 < 4 < 5 < 6 < 7 < 8 < 9 < A < B < C < D < E < F
