Crossroads: Options

Crossroads is an innovative new tool aimed at facilitating conversations around healthy decision making and substance abuse for youth suffering from or considered at risk for substance abuse. Crossroads is a supplemental tool to assist therapy and care providers in teaching and assessing youth through a game-based format.



Players select from learning modules that integrate information on topics from domestic violence to budgeting to avoiding situations that frequently lead to relapse and gaming. Right choices are rewarded while wrong decisions provide teachable moments.



Combining best practices in treatment of substance abuse disorders, expertise in educational gaming and motivational interviewing, this easy-to-implement mobile app helps collect assessment data, teach healthy decision making, reinforce recovery strategies and increase engagement.

Players are rewarded for completing in-game activities with virtual currency that can be used to build out a virtual home and customize their character.
