Game overview
Help Gonjiro overcome obstacles and enemies by using hair-based attacks and jumping actions in this exciting action game for Android.
Kedama no Gonjiro" is a game that features Makoto, a common 5th grade elementary student who meets a strange, furball-like creature named Gonjiro one day. Gonjiro constantly asks Makoto to "give him some fur" and the two start to embark on a peculiar life together like a pair of hirsute bros. The game involves controlling Gonjiro as he runs with just two simple touch controls- "Fur Action" and "Jump Action"- in order to overcome obstacles and clear stages while scoring points.
To use "Fur Action" controls, players can either throw a ball of fur at targets to increase their score or use it to grab onto targets like trees and poles in order to perform challenging actions like high jumps. The "Jump Action" enables players to jump over enemy characters or easily avoid obstacles. With the ability to perform a double jump, difficult challenges can be tackled with ease.
While progressing through the game, players can level up Gonjiro with experience earned through successful stage completion and enhance his abilities by using in-game currency to buy equipment such as buttons. The game features cross-functionality with the "Kedama no Gonjiro Button Collection" hobby toy, which can be controlled through QR code or electrical conductivity, allowing players to use their own power to control Gonjiro's actions.
In the newer version of the game (ver.1.2.0), players can also enjoy a new feature called "Kikasete Poojiro," where players can attach the "Kedama no Gonjiro Button Collection" to a toy named "DX Botachine Poojiro." By doing so, players can listen to Gonjiro's reactions as he dances or transforms, although not all buttons will trigger transformations. Note that using this feature requires permission to use the device's microphone.
For optimal performance, this game requires an Android device with at least 5.0 operating system and 2GB of memory. Please be advised that devices that fail to meet these requirements will not be supported or compensated. Additionally, device performance and connection quality may impact game performance even if these requirements are met.
