Step back in time and lead one of the dominant Viking kingdoms in Age of Viking Conquest. As you take control of Sweden, Norway or Denmark, your aim is to establish your supremacy and become the most powerful nation in Northern Europe. With strategic planning and tactical maneuvers, dominate both the land and the sea. As you explore the vast expanse of Europe, flex your military and economic muscles as you sail, ride and march forward. Use your intellect to your advantage by employing tactics such as subversion and espionage. Against other Northern Kingdoms and the largest Continental powers, compete for the ultimate prize. Age of Viking Conquest lets you choose between three major Viking kingdoms: Norway, Sweden or Denmark. Furthermore, you can decide to either challenge the AI or go head-to-head with other human players in your quest to rule Europe. Victory can be achieved by scoring the most Victory Points (VPs) or reaching a pre-set VP threshold, depending on the scenario and custom choices. To do this, you must capture regions and defeat your opponents in battle. With 130 regions open to conquest, each with different income and VP values, every game is unique. Unknown until conquered or spied upon, each region except those owned by a Major power, is controlled by an independent Minor country. Winter is a special season in the game with limited movements, severe weather changes and restricted actions. Each turn represents roughly one of the four seasons, starting from the year 700 AD and ending shortly after 1100 AD. However, if the player gets eliminated or becomes Christian, the game ends sooner. Choose from three scenarios, beginning at decisive turn points in history: 700 AD (commencement of Viking Age), 850 AD (the height of Viking expansion) and 1000 AD (the last significant conquests of the Northmen). Age of Viking Conquest has been received with excitement and enthusiasm, with users raving about its release after years of anticipation.
