Fort Sumter: The Secession Crisis is a historically based game that allows you to experience the American Civil War from either the Unionist or Secessionist perspective. You must use an area control mechanic to strategically place, move, and remove political capital in order to control the Political, Secession, Public Opinion, and Armaments dimensions. The game comes to a head after three rounds of play in a Final Crisis showdown. Designed by Mark Herman, the game uses a CDG (Card Driven Game) system that accurately depicts the events that led up to the bombardment of Fort Sumter. Immerse yourself in the historical setting with realistic voiceovers and audio that transports you back to that era. Play against an AI opponent for offline play or challenge another player for an asynchronous or real-time 2-player online game. Additionally, you can pass-and-play with multiple players.
